Howdy

Here is the first in a series of designs by Carol Schmidt. These are from charts that she did by hand. She gave me permission to let you use the stitch information that I have put together. This one is named Laura Jane. She is a charming country girl.

When you are stitching out the doll's dress there will be lots of tiny jump stitches. Only clip the large jumps. The small ones will be covered up by the next color. When you get to the last color you can try to clip the small jumps but they aren't very noticable. I just left most of mine in.

You will want to stitch out the P3 design first. There are a few of the outline stitches that will work better this way. If you can't remember it won't be that many that are partially covered up.

The Designer 1 version is regular size. The Plus Hoop version is just slightly smaller (about 2%)to get it to fit entirely within the hoop area.

Here are the Sulky colors that I used. These are only a suggestion. Use the colors you like.

Please note that these are my names for the colors.

1. 1064 flesh
2. 1117 blush
3. 1035 dark red
4. 1169 red
5. 1083 golden yellow
6. 1223 light country blue
7. 1172 medium country blue
8. White
9. 1149 beige
10. 1170 brown
11. 1059 dark brown
12. 1021 butterscotch
13. 1059 dark brown (outline)
